Innovation Stars comprises a free pocket book, an Internet portal and an iPhone app. The 244 page Pocket Guide introduces the reader to researchers along with their current projects in an entertaining and easily understandable way. As well, it presents over 100 innovative companies and research institutes from the region who want to generate public interest in their research work by holding open house days or other visitor events. This gives anyone interested the chance to visit places where innovation is born and where people are shaping the future.
To bring the fascinating new possibilities of organic electronics closer to the public, InnovationLab GmbH and the Forum Organic Electronics excellence cluster will host an open house day as part of Innovation Stars on May 11, 2011 in Heidelberg. Themed “Illuminated Tiles, Solar Film and Intelligent Packaging – How Organic Electronics Will Change Our Lives”, the event will give visitors a look at upcoming applications, products and services that are made possible by this future technology.
