The institutional core of the excellence cluster Forum Organic Electronics is based at InnovationLab, along with the Organic Electronics research platform. This consists of three central areas:
1. Joint research
In InnovationLab, mixed groups of researchers from science and business work on defined research topics in shared facilities, profiting from the resulting synergies.
2. Promotion of Young Researchers
In order to ensure the availability of suitable young researchers for the development of organic electronics, an integrative young researcher promotion program will be installed, complete with a specific program of study and a doctoral college.
3. Services and Cluster Management
InnovationLab is responsible for the management of the cluster and provides support for the partners cooperating on the research platform in general topics such as obtaining public funding or creating a database of experts. For the extended excellence cluster network, cluster management evaluates new joint projects started by the partners and arranges coordination between them. In addition, cluster management creates a cluster-specific technology roadmap, wins new partners, monitors projects and reports back to those who provide funding.
