OCCLUSION
OccluSense® by Bausch with integrated flexible printed pressure sensors by InnovationLab combines the traditional and digital occlusion control to represent the pressure distribution on occlusal surfaces.
InnovationLab presented demonstrator for 'e-health' at LOPEC 2017, Munich
From March 28th to 30th, 2017, the ninth edition of the international exhibition for printed electronics took place in Munich and once again BASF and InnovationLab (iL) exhibited on a common booth.

In addition to the jointly designed, developed and manufactured demonstrator for ,smart packaging’ by BASF and InnovationLab, iL presented further future-oriented applications for ,smart city’ and ,e-health’. Particular attention was paid on the new developed product OccluSense® by Bausch with integrated flexible printed pressure sensors by InnovationLab. It combines the traditional and digital occlusion control to represent the pressure distribution on occlusal surfaces. The novelty of this device is the digital representation of the occlusal contact points and the possible related occlusal disbalance. It can be used by every dentist since the occlusal test is part of the daily routine.
The integrated printed flexible pressure sensors by InnovationLab depict the unique features accessible by printed electronics - thin, lightweight, conformable on plastic substrate. The sensors are only 60μm thin and very flexible. Due to their color-coating it is possible to assign them to the contact points on the teeth.
These pressure sensors can be integrated into various future-oriented applications. For any querries you may have, please contact us. We look forward to hearing from you!
